Alpine cda-9886 screen will not work

hi, i just got a alpine cda-9886 cd player for my car...i know its all wired up right and everything...it works fine with everything besides that the screen is completly blank....i have no screen at all in any source or anything...i didnt know if this was a recall on them or not.....
