Abiquiu, is a little village established in Rio Arriba County, to the north New Mexico in the southwestern United States, about 53 miles (85 km) north of Santa Fe. In the 1730s, it was the third biggest town in the New Mexico Territory. Artist Georgia O'Keeffe dwelled there from 1949 until her death in 1986 at 98 years of age.
According to Arthur Pack, “There is a treasure concealed here at Ghost Ranch. Some have accepted that this treasure is a vessel of gold concealed long before by beef cattle thieves; some searched it in the pattern of oil and uranium; some with finding creative attractiveness or vintage bones. But in the years we dwelled here in these wilds, Phoebe and I accept as factual that we discovered the genuine treasure a comprehending of the love of God and a swamping sense of His dwelling occurrence here.”
Ghost Ranch Abiquiu is well renowned worldwide as the position of the fossils of Coelophysis and for having one of the richest quarries of the Triassic era. It is a characteristic of the Smithsonian, IMAX videos on dinosaurs and countless scientific textbooks and journals. Each year, some 2,000-3,000 school young children visit The Ruth Hall Museum of Paleontology and take part in associated informative undertakings for example the “Dinosaur Bone Dig” and “Plaster Bone Casting” and hike to the Hayden quarry site.
