AS 9103 is a standard which every company in the aerospace industry uses to manufacture and develop good reliable parts for improving the features delivering products which are required in a combat. Airspace industry is probably the most grown and rapidly developing industry which requires constant updation of technology. Renowned companies like Lockheed Martin and Mcdonald Douglas are constantly in touch with these standards to improve their system in the fighter plane to make it a supreme dog fighter. Previous fighters like F-14,F-20, Mikoyan Gurivich’s, and some Mirage fighters were using AS 9100 key dimensions. British planes like Harrier adopted such technologies later. Now due to the AS9103 system companies are following sets and procedures which beneficial and provide better results. Some of the main features of AS9103 are: These standards emphasis on geometrical, material properties, also it takes care of the functional and cosmetic features of the airplane. Nowadays Aerodynamics play very important role in manufacturing an aircraft. The latest and unique featured Raptor was designed by keeping in mind these two main features which are, the cosmetics of plane to make it undetectable and aerodynamics which are required in a dog fight for maneuverability. AS9103 does not only provide general requirements but it also establishes platform for developing specific general requirements and it also provides systems and technology for managing and controlling the variables required for the variation for future consideration.
