Hi, I saw a movie as a very young child that has always haunted me (although I cannot exactly remember why!) I was so young that I am not sure if it was black/white or color but I am thinking black and white! The movie had an overall "spooky" theme that revolved around a little girl and her teddy bear. There was a woman (a stepmother?) and some sort of controversy over the teddy bear. At the end, it turned out that there was something sewn inside the bear (money, jewels?) I think the father of the child may have killed the woman and both of them (father and child) watch as the house burns down. Creepy music plays...I think it was an instrumental version of "The Hearse" song (Did you ever think as the hearse rolls by that sooner or later you're going to die?)The whole ending was some kind of shocking twist I think. Thank you! I really appreciate your time as I've never forgotten this movie.

I asked the same question last night and someone suggested a movie called Picture Mommy Dead. I searched about this movie and the synopsis sounds amazingly like what you are describing. Apparently "The Hearse" song plays throughout the movie! I searched for an hour trying to find out more details. Picture Mommy Dead is a 1966 film directed by Bert I. Gordon. It stars Don Ameche and Martha Hyer. The film pursues the genre of the mad family movie commenced in the 1960 film Psycho as it trades with a young female, Susan, any person who thinks her male parent slaughtered her mother years ago. Released from an asylum, she is reunited with her male parent and a novel stepmother, but suspicious ongoing imperil to shove her through the edge.
