A lightning bolt messing up electronics

I'm doing a project for school and I need some help. I'm trying to find out if it is possible for a lightning bolt that struck at about 15ft. away from a house can damage a TV, a refrigerator, a computer, and/or even the electric meter from the home.

    It is possible for the charge from the lightning bolt to travel through the ground or an electrical wire to your house; possibly causing elctrical damage to any unprotected electronics.
