Question:

96 jeep cherokee flasher and hazard lights stopped working.

I checked all the fuses and they are fine, there is a cylindrical 3 prong device which is hot to the touch. Is this device a relay or a capacitor and could it simultaneously cause the flasher and hazard lights.
