2003 Saturn L200 manual transmission fluid level check

may saturn has a leak in the transmission, I have a manual shift. I was told it cost 1500 or just check fluid level....where is the fluid level check/fill located? I can't find it anywhere?

    The fill plug is on the same surface as the drain plug. It is about 5 inches above and toward the back of the drain plug. The drain and fill plugs look the same and both require an 8mm allen wrench.
