2001 1200 xlt waverunner

I have a 2001 1200 xlt waverunner and it has been sitting in garage for over 5 years not started....besides replacing battery, plugs, and draining old gas and oil....what other maintenance should i look to do

    For starters,make sure you also flush the fuel lines. The big issue is probabally going to be varnish and clogging inside of the carburaters. They can be rebuilt (not exactly the cheapest thing in the world) or you can hope for the best and remove them,and let them sit over night in carb cleaner. *NOTE* Go to the yamaha dealership and get the yamaha carb dipping solution. DO NOT under any circumstance use something from the auto parts store.
