   Hi, I know that on the older Mitsubishis there was a procedure to disable the alarm, but I do not know of a specific one for your Montero; if there is one. You can ask around to local mechanics to see if they know of a way to disable it, but short of that, your only other option is the dealership. These factory alarms are designed to help prevent your car from being stolen, but can also prevent the owner from driving it. Sorry if I couldn't give you the answer you're looking for, but the dealership may be your only option. Good luck!
