1974 Beetle having trouble starting. the ignition coil has power to it but it does not seem to be

the ignition coil has power to it but it does not seem to be going to the distributer only two the carborator and i replaced the points and set them at the right specks what is the problem

    take it, to the local garage- if theres any faults this way youll know the exact problem & a rough estimate on how much needs to be paid to sort it out. have a nice day.
