I saw a movie in the summer of 1970, at a drive-in theater in the Washington, DC-metro area. I am pretty sure it was in black and white. I am not sure that you could call it a classic, except that it is old now. It was about a husband and wife team. The husband would seduce and marry women for insurance, bank account balance, etc. Later they would murder the seduced women. At the end of the movie the State sentenced them to prison. The final scenes were about the passionate love letters they wrote each other from prison. The person who played the husband was dark-haired, small-framed and short. I think he occasionally wore eyeglasses in the movie. The person who played the wife was taller than the husband and stout. Do you know the name of this movie and possibly where I can get a copy of it on DVD or video? I would appreciate any information you have. Thank you

Hey there! It Sounds like: ' The Honeymoon Killers ' (1970). This is a 1970 American film written and focused by Leonard Kastle, and starring Shirley Stoler and Tony Lo Bianco. It tells the story of Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez, the notorious "lonely hearts killers" who assassin at least 12 women in the 1940s. The soundtrack is from the first movement of the 6th Symphony of Gustav Mahler.

You can get the copy of it from imdb.com/title/tt0064437/ and Go to purchase the DVD in widescreen (Criterion Collection): reel.com/movie.asp?MID=40459
I hope this is enough information for you.
