    Hi There, Your coin's missing digit is usually caused by a foreign substance in the die (like machine grease) that gets in the way of the flowing metal when the coin is stamped, and prevents the full stamping of the coin. I see alot of these "error" coins on the new quarters. Value wise, it may be worth a dollar, if you can find an interested buyer. I hope this helps,
