1200 yamaha waverunner

i have a 99 1200 XL limited i just got done rebuilding the carbs and reinstalling them i have made all adjustments but the oil pump adjustment. the manuel says to line up the lines at the pump and then adjust . thats fine but without takeing apart more exhaust i cant seam to be able to see the pump. any advice thanks
