I have a Fujitsu FMV 6866NU laptop.I know the password but i disassemble it and remove the CMOS battery because the BIOS maybe get corrupted due to power failure bucause my laptop has a lossen power switch. The BIOS takes a long time to boot and the keyboard is not functioning so i dissassemble and remove the battery to refresh it again. But I was surprised after I assemble my laptop because a message appear on my first boot up CMOS CHecksum BAD, Warrning 020F: Password Locked: Fixed Disk 0. I know the BIOS has disabled the harddisk for use.Since the hard disk is working when I connect it to a desktop PC.I already replaced my HD with a new one but the error is still there.I remove the harddisk and boot in floopy. The error has gone. The error only appear when theres a hard disk installed on my laptop.Maybe this is one of the security of laptop manufacturer. Please help me...
and I suggest to all those with fujitsu laptop or with phoenixBios ....never remove your laptop CMOS Battery whatever happened or youll never used your laptop again....!!!!
